The Manager Revenue Accounting is responsible for managing the audit function in hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to: monitoring the accurate production of the hotel daily audit reports; reviewing discrepancies and problematic accounts and guide staff to follow-up on such accounts; hire, train, supervise and develop staff, including coaching, counseling and discipline; and review processes to ensure efficiencies.  The Manager Revenue Accounting is the direct supervisor for Night Audit staff and works shifts that overlap with the auditors.  The Manager Revenue Accounting may be required to assist with or independently complete a variety of special projects.  Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality and social demeanor that contributes to a hospitable work environment.



  • Journal Entries Understand and ensure all revenues are captured accurately and flow through various systems properly; review controls to identify issues; reconcile POS revenues with Financial Report's; prepare supporting documentation and administer such as redemption of Gold Certs and weekly payroll entry throughout the month
  • Ledger Maintenance ensure appropriate credit is in place for each ledger account (guest, group and city ledgers); review in-house accounts daily.  Work with Hotel Accounting Manager and Front Office Manager to identify any potential bad debt.
  • Management & Administration of Night Audit Department Personnel lead the Night Audit staff by recruiting, hiring, training, administering schedules, accommodating time-off requests and other Personnel related responsibilities in accordance with G&A policies and procedures.  When necessary, supply coverage on the overnight shift to support the work flow / processes to meet deadlines (i.e. vacations, unexpected absences, special projects).
  • Night Audit Work Product Review the night audit pack (work product) for accuracy and make any necessary corrections if not balanced.  Follow up accordingly.
  • Operational Management Reports Administer routine & ad-hoc financial management reports such as GL, departmental payroll analysis, food / beverage COGS analysis, revenue forecasts, tracking sales incentive, and daily management revenue & statistical report (Daily)
  • Refunds/ Adjustment vouchers for business purpose & appropriate approvals responsible for viewing the previous days adjustment vouchers for accounting accuracy and proper authorizations prior to GM's final review
  • Sales Managers Individual Performance against Goals tracking Responsible for tracking and reporting individual sales managers actual booking results v. goals.  Work in conjunction with Director of Sales.
  • Taxes Hotel Occupancy, State & County Sales Tax and Real Estate taxes assist the Manager of Financial Reporting and Accounting by understanding and reviewing the sales tax collection processes; maintain sales tax, occupancy tax and Real Estate tax receipt records in an easily understandable format for regulatory compliance.

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management required.
5 plus years of supervisory experience required.


This position requires a consistent availability of 5am-3pm, 7 days a week as well as availability to cover overnight shifts as needed.
