SUMMARY

The Dining Room Attendant is responsible for all aspects of proper food and beverage service for restaurant, room service and market items. Special emphasis is placed on accommodating guest preferences, flexibility with work assignments, efficiency, quality, and social demeanor that contributes to a hospitable environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide pleasant and professional services to all hotel guests.
  2. Properly stock and set-up all coolers, shelving, dining tables, service stations, and bar.
  3. Provide timely, efficient, enthusiastic, friendly, and unobtrusive food and beverage service.
  4. Take guest orders with expert knowledge of all menu items and up-selling abilities.
  5. Deliver food items to guest tables.
  6. Bus tables and follow up with guest satisfaction on the service floor.
  7. Deliver room service and execute tray pick-up.
  8. Break down, clean-up, and safely store all food and beverage items
  9. Ensure that all foods are correct per order, served at the proper temperatures and to the correct guest.
  10. Assist other staff should they fall behind.
  11. Approach the guest and inquire about food, service, etc.
  12. Stopping liquor service may be necessary due to overindulgence or under age.
  13. Demonstrate knowledge of wines paired with food, beverage specials, proper liquor pouring, and beer offerings.
  14. Demonstrate knowledge of local and green practices.
  15. Maintain on-going communication and collaboration with staff with the aim of achieving high levels of cooperation and service excellence.
  16. Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the food and beverage facilities.
  17. Assist in checking all fixtures, equipment, and room conditions (taps, coolers, lights, heating/cooling, furniture, wallpaper, etc.) for proper operation, settings, and maintenance. Report deficiencies.
  18. Properly maintain all work equipment, tools, and supplies.
  19. Assist in waste tracking procedures.
  20. Respond to guest requests and inquiries with appropriate level of sensitivity and immediacy.
  21. Comply with all department, hotel, and company policies and procedures.
  22. Perform any task not outlined above that the associate has the ability to perform.

 

Part Time positions available.  Weekend Availability required.  Serving experience preferred.
